APPLIED COMPUTATION MODELING

The projects in this line address the development and analysis of computational models for decision-making, traceability and simulation of phenomena related to agricultural production and the environment. It also addresses the use of parallel and distributed computing to optimize machine learning procedures. The target applications are related to the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques in bioinformatics, computer vision for agricultural images, automatic diagnosis and prediction of the occurrence of diseases in plants and the treatment of imperfect information in the processing of agricultural data.

COMPUTING, AUTOMATION AND DATA MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURE

This line is aimed at research and application of computational techniques in agricultural problems involving data analysis and management, instrumentation and automation of agro-industrial processes, remote sensing and image acquisition and processing. This line is also aimed at developing interdisciplinary solutions that integrate science, technology and innovation in the context of precision agriculture.
