{"id":238,"date":"2020-03-02T13:36:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-02T16:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www2.uepg.br\/eri\/?page_id=238"},"modified":"2026-05-28T10:23:16","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T13:23:16","slug":"mobility-in","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www2.uepg.br\/eri\/en\/mobility-in\/","title":{"rendered":"Mobility IN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\">Want to study at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG)?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Where to begin?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Undergraduate programs:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">1 &#8211; Visit the UEPG\u2019s website and search for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.uepg.br\/prograd\/catalogo-de-cursos\/\">course and subjects you are interested in.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>2 &#8211; Fill out the form with your personal information and study plan.<\/p>\n<p>3 &#8211; Ask your university\u2019s Office of International Affairs to contact ERI by sending the following documents to <a href=\"mailto:eri@uepg.br\">eri@uepg.br<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Declaration of acknowledgment of the study plan;<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Copy of your passport;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Transcript* from your home university and its translation, if not in Portuguese;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Copy of your birth certificate;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Letter of introduction from your home university.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">*The transcript is a document that lists the courses taken by the student at their home university and their performance in each one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Post-graduated programs:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in pursuing graduate studies at UEPG, check out the available programs on the PROPESP website. Some programs have specific application rounds for international students. Applications are submitted through the <a href=\"https:\/\/acad.apps.uepg.br\/inicio\">ACAD system<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You may contact the coordinator of the program you are interested in at UEPG to obtain information about available places and the selection process. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.uepg.br\/propesp\/pos-graduacao\/cursos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">See the programs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>I received my Letter of Acceptance. What now?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prepare your documentation:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Air Ticket;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Visa (Student Visa (PT-BR: Visto de Estudante)<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/mre\/pt-br\/consulado-lisboa\/servicos-consulares\/vistos-destinados-a-estrangeiros-para-entrada-no-brasil\/visto-de-estudante-vitem-iv\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> VITEM IV<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CPF (Individual Registration Number) &#8211; do it <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/servicos.receita.fazenda.gov.br\/servicos\/cpf\/inscricaocpfestrangeiro\/default.asp\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">online in advance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Health insurance with funeral repatriation clause (\u201cBrasil Receptivo\u201d, insurance for foreigners), which must be purchased <\/span><b>before <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">your trip;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Updated vaccination card: find out about the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/saude\/pt-br\/assuntos\/saude-de-a-a-z\/s\/saude-do-viajante\/vacina-para-viajantes\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">necessary vaccines;<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Authorization for use of image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Please note<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: in addition to your vaccination card, remember to provide UEPG with information about your health status (allergies and previous surgeries) and your emergency contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When you arrive in Ponta Grossa, please report to the International Relations Office. We can assist you with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">issuing your CPF (if you have not been able to this yourself);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">enrolling at UEPG;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">opening a bank account (if necessary, to receive scholarship payments);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">filling out forms to obtain a National Migration Registry Card (CRNM) from the Federal Police;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">accompanying you to the Federal Police on the scheduled day to deliver the necessary documentation for the CRNM.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>TEMPORARY VISA IV \u2013 STUDENT VISA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>What it is:<\/strong> Temporary Visa IV is a mandatory authorization for all foreigners who wish to study at a Brazilian university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Who can get it:<\/strong> It can be granted to any foreign student who intends to come to Brazil on a temporary basis, without the intention of immigrating or engaging in paid work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>How it works:<\/strong> This visa authorizes the foreigner to attend a specific course at a specific educational institution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Where to apply:<\/strong> at the Brazilian Consulate or Embassy in the country of origin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Validity:<\/strong> <\/span>It may be valid for up to one (1) year (as stated in the Letter of Acceptance) and may be extended for the same period, multiple times, during the duration of the program. The extension request must be submitted to the Federal Police Department at least thirty (30) days before the end of the stay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important: <\/strong>When a student is selected to enroll in a regular master\u2019s (two-year) or doctoral (four-year) program, they do not need to renew their visa annually but must maintain legal status through the issuance of the National Migration Registry Card (CRNM). Learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/pf\/pt-br\/assuntos\/imigracao\/autorizacao-residencia\/autorizacao-de-residencia-para-fins-de-estudo\">RNM on the Brazilian government\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Required documents:<\/strong> consult the Consulate General of Brazil in your country of residence and request a complete list of documents required to obtain a Student Visa, as it may vary.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Important information:<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the visa has been granted, foreign students have 90 days to enter Brazil and, from then on, 30 days to register with the Federal Police Department in the city where they live.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Student visa holders are prohibited from engaging in paid work, under penalty of a fine, notification, or expulsion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Attention:<\/strong> find out about the correct type of visa!
