PPGQA has as its general goal:
To promote a qualified formation of Professionals from Chemistry and alike areas, who take into account the existent multidisciplinarity, with capability for technical-scientific activities on basic areas or new technologies, apt for teaching activities and with potential for creation and innovation rising from Chemistry researches.
And as its specific goals:
Establish highly qualified human resources, with solid formation on the Chemical area, who befit the new technological development profile of Paraná, which presents itself as highly promising with the upcoming of several highly technologic industries in the region.
Produce scientifical and technological knowledge that contributes for the development of chemistry and its applications, with impact on Science, Technology, Society and Environment.
Provide theoric and practical support to the professional in formation together with the knowledge acquired during graduation to face challenges that arise during the continuity of the studies by means of a future doctorate degree.
Create an environment in which the interactions with industries and research centers are strengthened in a way that the connection University-Industry is evident to the professional in formation.
