Since 2016, the UEPG Postgraduate Program in Journalism has been promoting the “Dialogues on Journalism, History and Literature”. The objective of the event is to discuss aspects of a work, author or historical moment from multiple perspectives of the Humanities and Social Sciences. The event is promoted by PPGJor in partnership with the UEPG postgraduate programs in Language Studies (PPGel), Education (PPGE) and History (PPGH).
Through panels open to the community, with the participation of experts, researchers and professors from these different areas, the event contributes to the interdisciplinary debate within journalism. In addition to PPGJor, the activity mobilizes research groups and extension projects in the organization of the event, such as the Journalism Agency.
In its previous editions, Diálogos has already covered works by Jurgen Habermas, Paulo Freire, Mário Magalhães, Umberto Eco, Euclides da Cunha, Lima Barreto, Clarice Lispector and writings from the Russian Revolution and May 1968.
